Author Terms, Privacy & Platform Agreement
Please read this page before creating an Author Account. Registration is limited to adults age 18 or older.
Eligibility — Adults Only
You must be 18 years of age or older and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to register for a Funday Adventures Books Author Account. The Author Program does not accept registrations by minors. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have legal authority to enter this agreement.
Privacy and Use of Your Information
We take your privacy seriously. Funday Adventures Books and fundayadventures.com do not sell author personal information.
Information supplied through the Author Portal is used only as reasonably necessary to operate your author relationship and the day-to-day activities connected with your books, including account administration, submission review, bookstore listings, sales, customer orders, payments, payouts, tax/reporting requirements, physical-book shipping functions, fraud/security review, support and legal compliance.
Information may be provided to payment processors, shipping providers, tax/reporting providers, hosting/security providers or other service providers only when reasonably necessary to perform those functions, or when disclosure is required by law. Funday does not make author information available for unrelated third-party advertising or sell it as marketing data.
We take the privacy and security of this website and your information seriously. Funday Adventures Books uses administrative, technical and operational safeguards intended to protect Author Portal accounts, personal information and business records, and we will continue to maintain and improve those safeguards to the best of our abilities. While no website or online system can guarantee absolute security, protecting your information is an ongoing priority for fundayadventures.com.
Certain records may be retained when needed for completed transactions, accounting, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, disputes, fraud prevention, legal obligations or enforcement of these terms.
Permission to Sell Your Book on Funday Adventures Books
You retain ownership of your copyright and other rights in your original work. By submitting a book and accepting these terms, you grant Funday Adventures Books a non-exclusive, limited authorization and license to list, display, market, advertise within the Funday Adventures Books platform, offer for sale, sell, process customer orders for, and deliver purchased copies of your approved book through fundayadventures.com.
This authorization includes the reasonable use of your submitted book title, author/pen name, cover image, description, approved excerpts, product information and downloadable book/audio files as needed to create and operate the bookstore listing, promote the book on the Funday Adventures Books platform, complete a customer purchase and provide the purchased material to the customer.
This does not transfer ownership of your copyright to Funday Adventures Books. Homepage, landing-page and featured placement remain solely under Funday’s control.
Original Work, Rights and Infringement
Books submitted through the Author Portal must be your original work. Authors may not submit public-domain books. Public-domain titles may only be submitted or added by Funday Adventures Books.
You are responsible for confirming that you own the rights required to sell and distribute everything you submit, including the manuscript, title elements, cover art, illustrations, photographs, audio, narration, characters, trademarks, logos and other protected material. You must not submit material that you do not have the legal right to sell or distribute.
When a rights complaint is received, Funday may request evidence, restrict or remove a listing while the matter is reviewed, preserve relevant records, request a response from the affected author, reject a submission, suspend access or ban an Author Account when appropriate.
Author Responsibility for Claims and Private Disputes
You are responsible for claims, losses and disputes caused by material you submit, rights you claim to own, or your breach of these terms. Funday Adventures Books may review complaints and take internal bookstore action, but Funday does not make a court determination of copyright ownership, trademark ownership, authorship or other private legal rights.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree not to hold Funday Adventures Books, fundayadventures.com, or their owners and operators responsible merely because a private copyright, trademark, plagiarism, licensing, ownership or similar dispute involving author-submitted material arose from material listed or sold through the platform. You agree not to bring or maintain a claim against them based solely on their role as the platform for such a private dispute.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Funday Adventures Books, fundayadventures.com, and their owners/operators from third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your submitted content, your lack of required rights, your violation of law, or your breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms waives any right or liability that applicable law does not allow to be waived.
Review, Publication and Store Placement
Every submission is subject to screening and administrator review. Funday may approve, reject, request changes, restrict or remove a submission or listing. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, publication, sales or earnings.
Authors do not receive direct publishing controls. When an approved book is published, it is routed to the bookstore category chosen during submission. For example, a book submitted to Cookbooks is published to the Cookbooks category after approval. Homepage/landing-page and featured placement are manual, admin-only decisions.
Payments, Payouts, Taxes, Refunds and Chargebacks
The author share is 75% of eligible book-sale revenue and Funday Adventures Books receives 25%. Scheduled payout days are the 1st, 8th, 16th and 24th of each month for eligible cleared sales since the prior payout. Author-submitted books must have a regular price of at least $4.99.
Physical-book earnings do not become eligible for payout when the buyer merely pays at checkout. A physical-book sale becomes eligible only after USPS confirms delivery, the 7-calendar-day physical-book return period has ended, and there is no unresolved return, refund, PayPal dispute, reversal or chargeback affecting that sale. Once eligible, the sale enters the next scheduled payout cycle.
Refunds, chargebacks, PayPal claims/reversals, fraud adjustments or other transaction corrections may reduce, delay or reverse eligible author earnings. If a physical-book transaction is refunded, reversed or charged back, the related author earnings may be withheld, deducted from the author’s pending balance, or recovered from future payouts as applicable. Applicable customer sales tax is handled separately from the author share. Authors must provide tax information required for payouts through the designated secure process before funds can be released.
Physical Books, PayPal, Shipping, Returns and Customer Information
For physical books, the buyer pays the book price and shipping charge up front and must use PayPal for the physical-book purchase. PayPal may investigate buyer disputes, claims, refunds, reversals or chargebacks and may provide a refund or reversal when PayPal determines that action is warranted under its applicable rules and procedures. Funday does not promise or control the outcome of a PayPal dispute.
The author/seller is responsible for accurately fulfilling and shipping the paid physical-book order, appropriate packaging, and eligible physical-book return/refund obligations. Eligible paid physical-book orders appear in the protected Author Portal, and a shipping QR code or printable label can be provided when prepared by the connected shipping service.
Only physical books are eligible for the platform’s standard return period. An eligible return request must be made within 7 calendar days after USPS delivery confirmation. eBooks, audiobooks and other digital products are not covered by this standard physical-book return window, subject to applicable law and any separate refund policy.
Any customer name, address or order information shown to an author is provided only to fulfill and support that customer order. Authors may not sell that information, add customers to unrelated marketing lists, or use customer order information for unrelated purposes.
Website Security, Privacy Protection, Removal and Termination
Funday Adventures Books takes website security and privacy protection seriously. We operate fundayadventures.com with safeguards intended to protect Author Portal accounts, personal information, order information and business records, and we will continually strive to maintain and improve those protections to the best of our abilities. No website or online service can guarantee absolute security, but protecting the information entrusted to this platform is an ongoing responsibility and priority for Funday Adventures Books.
Funday may suspend or terminate Author Portal access, reject or remove listings, or preserve records when reasonably necessary for rights enforcement, fraud/security concerns, violations of these terms, legal compliance or protection of the bookstore and its users.
Closing an account or removing a book does not cancel responsibilities connected with already-completed sales, customer delivery, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, payouts, shipping obligations, disputes or records that must reasonably be retained.
Electronic Records, Communications and Agreement Updates
By creating an Author Account, you consent to receive account, submission, review, order, payment, payout, security and other program communications electronically through the Author Portal and/or the email address associated with your account.
Funday may update Author Program terms as the service changes. When a material change requires renewed acceptance, the portal may require you to review and accept the updated version before continuing to use protected author functions.
Acceptance
By registering for an Author Account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and agree to these Author Terms, Privacy & Platform Agreement, understand the separate Author Agreement that must be accepted before submission access opens, and authorize Funday Adventures Books to operate your account and sell approved books on this platform under these terms.
These terms are intended as the platform’s business agreement and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before public launch. If any provision conflicts with a right or liability that cannot legally be waived, applicable law controls to that extent.
